Background:

There are hardworking parents of birth to four age children who just need a hand up and not a hand out. These parents are in school working towards improving themselves to therefore improve the lives of their children. Some of these parents may have come to the end of the support offered by the government or their schools and are out of funding options. We at LAFORCE believe funding should not be the barrier to completion.

Focus & Finish Scholarship Guidelines & Eligibility:

The Focus & Finish Scholarship is for deserving parents of birth to age four children who are within 1-2 semesters of graduating with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree or completion of a post high school training program. 

Parents may apply for up to $5,000 for the year and may only receive this hardship scholarship once. 

Parents will have to fill out the application and provide the required documents for consideration.

LAFORCE will judge each application and determine the recipient(s) for the year. 

Upon confirmation of the details of the tuition, LAFORCE will pay the school or entity directly for the tuition and provide a receipt to the recipient.
