Community Early Childhood (EC) Provider Partnerships
At LAFORCE, our mission is to eliminate systemic barriers to early childhood education and caregiver support. A critical part of this mission is building mutually beneficial collaborations with high-quality childcare providers and community entities. Together, we can expand access to early learning through microcenter partnerships and diverse delivery partnerships that use a shared cost model—making it more affordable to open new seats for children across our community.
If you are interested in partnering with us, please review the partnership models below and then complete the Provider Application (linked at the bottom of this page). Applications can be submitted by email to Leigh@thelaforce.org or mailed/delivered in person to: 1165 S. Foster Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70806.
Diverse Delivery Partnerships
Diverse Delivery partnerships allow high-quality centers to expand seats for children from birth to age four. Example: In East Baton Rouge Parish, the school system funds several diverse delivery seats across their network using multiple grant sources.
Benefits of Diverse Delivery Partnerships:
Expands capacity to serve more children
Provides families with additional options
Increases enrollment at childcare sites
Strengthens early childhood community partnerships
Microcenter Partnerships
Microcenter partnerships occur when an entity—such as a school, church, or community organization—provides space for high-quality childcare seats operated by a licensed provider. While many current microcenters are collaborations between schools and Type III providers, these partnerships can be built with any entity willing to host childcare services.
Benefits of Microcenter Partnerships:
Builds strong community relationships with centers and neighborhood schools
Increases retention within entities by engaging children earlier than kindergarten
Aligns instruction and services for greater consistency
Provides earlier access to high-quality instruction, improving kindergarten readiness
